Windows Manager: AwesomeWM (Icons and desktop monitor too, its -not- conky)

Wallpaper: Custom

Icon set: Custom, and Oxygen in Dolphin

Firefox (screenshot 1), Amarok (toolbar in screenshot 2) and VLC (screenshot 9) integration using DBUS, KGet download manager and Konversation IRC client also have some level of integration

Screenshot 4, 5, 6 and 7 show some custom sidebar available when I hover the top-left monitors

Tiled windows Manager ( screenshot 2 et 8)

I did build that desktop on top of Awesome, but most of what you see, and even more not showed in those screenshot is my own code, freely available for those who are able to use it (it's not that much documented, and written in a mix of lua and bash)

Ubuntu with a Gnome/Windows 7/OSX UI mashup. Wallpaper I got somewhere, Gnome-Brave icons, Shiki-Brave Metacity/GTK+ theme, DockbarX for superbar, Global Menu for OSX panel menus.

Xubuntu, running fluxbox (XFCE is for the wife and kids, when they use my PC)

Pidgin and Skype running for my messaging.

Thunderbird and Firefox for email and browsing.

Conky shows all for my system monitoring (and you can see I run a few boinc projects)

The terminal window shows a fluxbox feature I love, but don't use nearly often enough: tabbed windows (the titlebar is tabbed, and I can switch between terminals by clicking the appropriate section of the titlebar)

My window decorations? Created for Windows by emmzaa on Neowin. I just used her images with her permission to make it work in fluxbox.

In use:

Oh, yeah. The wallpaper is from a site that I cannot link to, due to adult content, but that particular image is obviously OK for Neowin (probably not for some work locations, or church groups) :p

markjensen: Have you ever considered installing a nicer GTK theme? The default one looks, well, not so great.

Updated as I had to wipe my HD and the old Wubi setup went away :(

MESSY?:

Clicky! | Stock Dust | Docky Latest Build in Panel mode

Oh well, if Ubuntu would run MW2 and Source Games flawlessly, I would ditch Windows in a matter of milliseconds!
