brentaal
Spotify offers new cut-price package -- and you can now sign up without an invite! Citing the renewed competition in the streaming-music sector, paidContent is reporting on Spotify's two new packages: Spotify Unlimited and Spotify Open. Spotify Unlimited -- ?4.99/month -- is a cut-down version of the current ?9.99/month Premium service. Like the Premium service, all advertising has removed. You don't get offline access from your mobile phone however, nor do you get the higher-quality stream. Basically, it's ?4.99/month to remove the ads. Cool. Spotify Open -- free! -- is the same as the current Free package, but you do not need an invite to sign up. The caveat: you can only listen to music for 20 hours a month. Otherwise it's basically the same deal. I can't see any mention of whether Spotify is now available in other countries, but I imagine it's still restricted to a handful of European nations (ed. note: it's still limited to Finland, France, Norway the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, and the U.K.) . Still, it's coming to America later in the year -- and you could always use a proxy server... Article @ Download Squad
