Tech-nerd
so I installed win7 back in January, and aero and transparency never had problems. but due to my battery's short life, I have to switch to the basic theme when on the go. But I've never had problems with switching back to aero with the transparency. So anyway, sometime in April I've switched to basic theme and haven't switched back until now. But when I try to use the aero theme, transparency won't work. (this happened before, but it comes back to aero once I click troubleshoot) So I clicked troubleshoot, and it took a minute with a message 'desktop window management is disabled' I did some research online, and restarted dwm in services. but I still have the same error. any help? thanks in advance. Tech-nerd
I did, but it didn't work
Hum
I would go to the Control Panel, and try turning on Aero/transparency again. Otherwise I would run a System file check.

xendrome
Maybe you need to go into System in Control panel and refresh your WEI score? That can turn Aero Off.

Tech-nerd
ity might actually be the driver, because when I clicked troubleshoot aero problems today, it actually said it's driver problems, and it needs to update. I'm updating now to see if it works.
Tech-nerd
here's what the error looks like now, and I've tried to update the driver from windows update, it failed. So I downloaded the driver from intel, it's the intel 965 chipset. but when it was installing, it got an 'unknown error' and had to exit. so I can't install. what can I do?
