iPad Emulator?

Question

Does anyone know of an iPad emulator for Windows. We have a client who wants to run reports via the iPad and we are not going to be making an actual iPad app (HIPAA regulations) just a web based app that can be viewed on an iPad. I know the resolution but it would be nice to have an emulator to help insure it looks correct. I have doubts management is going to spring for an iPad so I thought I'd try this route.

Thanks.

I found that, but it only works on external sites. The site I'm going to have to build will HAVE to be internal only (doctor/patient info)

I'm really surprised that Apple is charging for the SDK. But thanks for the heads up.

The SDK is free if you only want to run code in the simulator and not on an actual device. Of course a bigger problem might be the fact that it's OS X only. There is no version available for any other OS.

You don't need to pay to download the SDK. You'll need to pay if you want to join the developer program (deployment to devices).

Sorry if I derail the topic a bit but I don't think it warrants it's own topic.

Could you jailbreak a Emulated SDK iPad? I would love to see how much I can spice it up UI wise :p

I do not think so, there is no way to connect spirit to the emulation

Thanks for the responses. At least I wasn't blind in my search. I'll just have to make management buy an iPad. <insert large laugh here>

That iPad Peek site will work for local sites too. Just put in localhost and it'll take you to your local web. Any URL you can access from your regular browser, you can access through that page. There are no emulators for Windows, and even the OS X one isn't an emulator (it's a simulator). That's why you can't just run any old app in it. Your best bet would be to invest in a real iPad or if you have access to a Mac, get the free SDK that has the simulator in it.

iPad peek is NOT a decent emulator. It does NOT properly represent the browser on an iPad. It is Desktop Safari in a dressed up frame. There are some very major differences.
