If you've got a branded PC (i.e. Dell, Toshiba etc) they usually have drivers for your exact model on their website. Some even have update software built in (i.e. HP, Sony etc).

Using driver update software isn't really recommended, they don't usually work.

I know . but using driver update software is very much handy and keeps track of latest driver updates.

Its your computer, and if you want to take the risk using these types of programs its your call, but the safest way is to download them from the vendors website, and its free to boot...

I wouldn't waste my time. Most of these are going to be complete crap / scams.

Also, Windows update (in windows 7) does this out of the box.

I would trust the FileHippo updater, but I don't know if that covers drivers or not.

Be very careful. Most of those "helpful" apps are just scams or spyware.

You were right to be cautious about such software. However, DriverEasy is a real product, not a scam.

What the heck are you doing?

I would be vary weary of using one of these. Most driver updates come through Windows Update nowadays, or if not, can be easily obtained through a website.
