Here's the UFC on FUEL 6 card. It's quite bad so I won't even bother making a thread for it.

Main Card (FUEL TV, 9 AM ET/6 AM PT)

Rich Franklin (29-6, 1 NC) vs. Cung Le (8-2)

Stanislav Nedkov (12-0) vs. Thiago Silva (14-3, 1 NC)

Dong Hyun Kim (15-2-1, 1 NC) vs. Paulo Thiago (14-4)

Mac Danzig (21-9-1) vs. Takanori Gomi (33-8, 1 NC)

Alex Caceres (7-5) vs. Kyung Ho Kang (11-6)

Jon Tuck (6-0) vs. Tiequan Zhang (15-3)

Preliminary Card (Facebook)

John Lineker (19-6) vs. Yasuhiro Urushitani (19-5-6)

Tom DeBlass (7-1) vs. Riki Fukuda (18-6)

Jeff Hougland (10-5) vs. Takeya Mizugaki (15-7-2)

David Mitchell (11-2) vs. Hyun Gyu Lim (10-3-1)

Dumbest move is the Lineker vs Urushitani being on Facebook while Tiequan Zhang gets to fight on the Main Card against a guy that couldn't even make it into the TUF house. And he'll probably lose badly.

Chael Sonnen today told MMAjunkie.com that not only does he expect Dan Henderson to help him prepare for a title fight against Jon Jones - but Henderson will be one of his assistant coaches on "The Ultimate Fighter 17."

"We're on great terms (and) we've always been on great terms," Sonnen said while adding that Henderson will also corner him against the light-heavyweight champ.

Sonnen downplayed any rift with Henderson that arose in the wake of his selection as a "TUF 17" coach.

Bisping vs. Belfort will headline UFC's Jan. 19 show in Brazil

This is... weird? Vitor hasn't fought at true MW since 2011 when he trounced Akiyama with ease. The Rumble fight doesn't really count since Rumble was 205 at the time and totally worn out. A loss here could be devastating for Bisping's MW aspirations and Vitor is the right combination of power + speed + unreliability to spoil Bisping's fun and never go anywhere himself in the MW division.

Lot's of important news today, all of them having to do with Strikeforce.

First, Strikeforce to close shop after stacked January event. Finally, Strikeforce closes down. Weirdest thing about that is that they're having 3 championship fights for totally irrelevant belts against pretty irrelevant opponents.

Next, both Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate have become UFC fighters. WMMA in the UFC amd you have Ronda Rousey's star power to thank for it.

I dont know if UFC have got the airtime at the moment to even put on womens matches, they'd need to expand to weekly shows definately, PPVs never seem long enough for me as it is, id much rather watch an all male cast than have to take out a probable decent fight for a womens fight. Dont get me wrong im all for women in MMA i just dont think its got a place on a UFC PPV!

Also shocking about Bonnar, what did he have to lose though (unless he won which was extremely unlikely), and GO HERMAN WOO!! :D

Weekly shows work for wrestling, not MMA. It would pretty much impossible to keep a steady stream of interesting matches going because people would need to be at fight camps ALL THE TIME. The logistics are pretty much impossible, even without taking into account injuries, medical suspensions, PED suspensions, troubles making weight, etc, etc. Bellator does weekly events, 80% of matches are crap/local filler with guys that are 0-1 fighting guys that are 2-1. It just doens't work.

In 2013, UFC is going to have 4 events on FOX, 4 in FX and 4 in Fuel. That's 16 events on FREE tv, plus 15 PPV. You're going to have more than 2 UFC events a month, probably 3. That's a lot of fights. But you can't really do a 20 fight PPV. It would way too long and risky because, unlike wrestling, the outcomes aren't reharsed and defined from the start. A 20 fight card with 15 decisions? That would be catastrophic and probably run out of time.

As for womens' fights, you just haven't been watching enough WMMA. Invicta FC events have shown very good WMMA fights, with the majority of them being more entertaining than the 30-27 slog that many undercards end up being. Can Rousey headline a PPV? No. But she can headline a FX show or a FOX show or even be the first fight of a PPV. Womens' TUF is also a very likely possibily with either Rousey & Tate or Sara McMann.

Yeh that is true, maybe i havnt watched enough WMMA, ill check out a few invicta events, i havnt really been up to date with my other MMA apart from UFC recently and that hasnt exactly been terrifically exciting has it.. I would definately be up for a womens TUF, it'd be completely different viewing!

I know what you mean though, they do seem to have the balance right, maybe my views will change though once ive seen some decent WMMA! Ill get on it..

Best thing about Invicta FC is that you can watch their events for free. They also have a high percentage of finishes.

UFC on FUEL 6 was utter crap. 9 fights, 7 decisions. Most of them very one-sided and boring, not competitive at all. Judging was also a problem.

MMA heavyweight John Shaddock told ProMMANow.com that he wants to be the next man to fight Batista. No word yet if Batista will accept the fight.

Who?

That guy doesn't even have a pro record. According to that site, he's 1,65m and 115kg. Basically, he's a tub of lard who wants some free publicity.

At least he's 1-0 and is built like a HW, despite having no cardio at all. 1,65m with 115kg is just ridiculous.

I thought Kimbo was a pro boxer now

can't keep up with his "career"

He is. He's 6-0 on a steady diet of washouts, middleweights and glass jaw sufferers.
