Duke already had broken her hand at the beginning of the fight. That was a beatdown.

The Guedelha fight was a slaughter as well.

holly holm vs rowdy ronda rousey  :D

Again, what? I can just picture it as Couture vs Toney all over again. Unless she can uncork a massive headkick in the first 10 seconds, she's getting thrown and submitted in less than 60s. Holm is 7-0 but watch her fight against Angela Hayes. Same goes for Carano unless she comes in all heavy.

once r3 gets punched in the face, im not sure it will be as easy as you make it sound. this is nothing like couture/toney. not only was toney way past his prime, but he can't move like a 135lb-er. also liddell was knockin out fighters with his standup against fighters with superior ground game.

Alexis Davis was supposed to give Rousey a challenge. She got trounced. Liddell was an expert on delivering power when backing up while having great defensive wrestling. Holm has a ton of potential, her striking is great, but she's hasn't fought anyone that is remotely close to being relevant in the weight class. I would have her fight Sarah Kaufman (at least) before the title shot. I also think they should bring Marloes Coenen into the UFC. She's 33 already but has the chops to give Rousey a good fight. She was wrecked against Cyborg but lasted 4 rounds. That would make things interesting.

The long-awaited rematch between UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson, scheduled for UFC 178 in Las Vegas on September 27, has been postponed after the Swede suffered an injury in training this week. Although there are scores of hungry challengers waiting for a crack at Jones? crown, few can rival Daniel Cormier's burning desire to topple the champ at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

It's official. And Cormier is certainly getting his knee wrecked.

This should be a decent fight and Diaz will certainly big up the fight with the trash talk beforehand. However, neither are at the top of their game anymore and in his last showing against GSP, Diaz was certainly no where near his Strikeforce form. Silva by decision for me.

Maybe the following year we'll finally get Silva vs GSP.

If GSP comes back (why would he?), I don't know if he'll fight Silva. As for the Diaz vs Silva fight, Silva is slowing down but his striking is still lethal. Diaz is moving up a weight class against a top tier opponent who has a longer reach and knows how to use it. It will be a stand up battle for the ages but I can see Anderson finishing Diaz.

That was insane!

And Connor McGregor was taking selfies with fans while all that was going on. Badass.
