Sadly I think it's all over for Bisping in terms of ever winning a title. Friday's fight was a definite must win and Rockhold had his number :(

Looks like it's the end of the line for Shogun too... Definitely the dawn of a new era in the world of MMA.

Shogun has look pretty shot since his loss to Bones. As for Bisping, it just wasn't meant to be. When he was in top shape, he kept fighting guys that wouldn't get him near contention. He totally got robbed in the Chael Sonnen fight and that was as close as he ever was to fighting for the belt. Now it will just be a big what if because the MW division as moved on and he got left behind.

As for UFC 180, everyone made weight so here we go. Will we see a belt around Mark Hunt's waist? (Not likely but one can dream). Lamas vs Bermudez is the fight to watch out for. It will be ludicrous to denny Bermudez his shot if he finishes Lamas.

Main card (PPV at 10 p.m. ET)

Fabricio Werdum (232) vs. Mark Hunt (265)

Jake Ellenberger (171) vs. Kelvin Gastelum (170)

Ricardo Lamas (145) vs. Dennis Bermudez (146)

Augusto Montano (169) vs Chris Heatherly (170)

Edgar Garcia (170) vs. Hector Urbina (169)

Undercard (FOX Sports 1 at 8 p.m. ET)

Yair Rodriguez (145) vs. Leonardo Morales (144)

Alejandro Perez (135) vs. Jose Alberto Quinonez (135)

Jessica Eye (134) vs. Leslie Smith (134)

Gabriel Benitez (145) vs. Humberto Brown (146)

Undercard (UFC Fight Pass at 7 p.m. ET)

Enrique Briones (134) vs. Guido Canneti (135)

I've got my picks in on Kountermove. Hope it's not against the rules for me to give it a quick plug. http://www.kountermove.com/draft/35153-fantasy-sports-networks-ufc-181-freeroll-by-morency-black-on-ufc-181-hendricks-vs-lawler-2-T-free/393906/ - Free play, $1,000 prize pool, pick five fighters (within the "budget" you get). Worth a go; I won $2 back when Wrestlezone did the same for WWE Hell in a Cell. Wasn't so successful though on the UFC 180 game.  :p

PHOENIX, Ariz. -- Friday's UFC on FOX 13 weigh-ins went off without a hitch, except for one glaring exception.

Lightweight co-headliner Nate Diaz badly missed ahead of his scheduled bout against Rafael dos Anjos, tipping the scales at 160.6, more than four pounds over the division's 156-pound limit.

UFC officials confirmed to MMAFighting.com that Diaz will not attempt a second chance to make weight. 20-percent of his purse will be forfeited to dos Anjos, who successfully weighed in at 156 pounds.

All 24 other fighters on the card met their required weight, including heavyweight headliners Junior dos Santos and Stipe Miocic. dos Santos came in at a trim 242 pounds, while Miocic outdid him by a single pound, tipping the scales at 243.

UFC on FOX 13 takes place December 13, 2014 at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

Wow! Missing weight by 4.6lbs! It's like he's not even bothered trying to make weight!

The UFC has signed CM Punk, and Bellator MMA might be on the verge of signing its own former WWE star.

Bellator president Scott Coker told MMA Fighting on Monday that his organization has been in negotiations with former WWE standout Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio, whose real name is Jose Rodriguez, fought in MMA for nine years, including a pair of bouts with PRIDE.

"I think that we did reach out," Coker said. "I'm not sure where that is and by no means is it in the 11th hour, but I know there's some dialogue going on."

Rodriguez, who competed in MMA under the name Dos Caras, Jr., has a notable head kick knockout loss to Mirko Cro Cop at PRIDE Bushido 1 in 2003 on his record. Rodriguez trained under Marcos Ruas and went 9-5 in his mixed martial arts career between 2001 and 2010. Seven of his nine career victories came via submission.

Rodriguez, 37, is 6-foot-5 and more than 230 pounds, so he would likely compete in either the heavyweight or light heavyweight division.

In pro wrestling, Rodriguez was a popular former WWE champion and also competed for Mexican organizations AAA and CMLL. He was fired by WWE in August after slapping an employee. Rodriguez has said the man, a web producer, made a racist joke about him, prompting the physical altercation.

After being ousted by WWE, Rodriguez returned to AAA, where he won the heavyweight title earlier this month. Rodriguez also reportedly a signed a deal with U.S. wrestling promotion Ring of Honor.

Could Rodriguez return to MMA with Bellator next? Coker likes the idea.

"He's had a lot of great MMA fights and I just think that would be a fun time to see him fight some of the guys we have on our roster," Coker said.

Bellator already has former WWE champion Bobby Lashley on its roster. Tito Ortiz and Muhammed Lawal, two of Bellator's biggest stars, also have dabbled in pro wrestling with TNA.

Rampage is back with the UFC....or is he?

i6VSUVKBeIMxC.png

Yes, he's back. Probably going to match him up with Shogun, since they're both on their last legs.

Urijah Faber only on the prelims?! What's going on?

Faber has enough name value to carry good ratings but is fighting guys so far from a title shot (and winning) that he's better headlining the prelims than taking up a main card slot. Since he won't fight T.J. (for now), there's no point in building him up in the BW division.

Cm Punk going to get killed, He should fought in the smaller show before entering ufc. Even Alberto Del Rio fought in smaller show before getting his head kicked in by Crocop in Pride.
