Mattytommo
In line with the two other threads about iPhone and Android, we might as well get the ball rolling with the Windows Phone 7 apps! Can this be stickied? Ones I'm using currently: Apps: Shazam (free) - most will be familiar with this already, free app that will recognise music by recording a clip and trying to match it to a song. Attentive Phone (free) - nice app to do things like setting the phone to mute ringing when flipping it, or turn it into pocket mode to ring louder when in a pocket/bag IMDB (free) - really nice looking way to access IMDB, also shows US movie times and shows your closest cinemas on bing maps associated with your current location Photo Enhancer (free) - this htc app can apply extra cool filters to photos taken (black & white, vintage, auto contrast adjustments etc). Sound Enhancer (free) - another free htc app that can add dolby mobile & srs enhancement effects to audio and video sound, if you have the headphones in you can also manually configure the sound via an equalizer. Games: Unite (free) - accelerometer based labyrinth game from Microsoft Game Studios, only the goal is to join multiple balls into one ball. Very good considering it's free! The Harvest (?5.49) - bit pricy, but this action RPG is worth it in IMO, probably the best game yet to come out for WP7, but the loading times are a bit long, but worth the wait! Prince Charming
Pretty sure Attentive Phone, Photo Enhancer and Sound Enhancer are HTC apps only, and they're not available to (other manufacturers) handets. Certainly couldn't find them on marketplace. I'll add Cocktailflow though. SO BEAUTIFUL.

BTW, what is Cocktailflow for?

BTW, what is Cocktailflow for? I'm waiting on a Dell Venue Pro (expecting it next week with any luck), and I don't think Dell actually did any OEM software whatsoever. The HTC one does seem a bit blah. LG's DNLA software is fairly nice. Cocktailflow is an app for cocktails (duh :p), can go by name, ingredients etc. More information here; http://cocktailflow.com/

Gaffney
IMDB is probably the best looking I've seen. The twitter and facebook apps are quite good but they come with the phone. The marketplace should start to fill up to Christmas once developers have their hands on a device. I would like to see a better windows messenger app, a better youtube app, some better ways to upload to eg twitpic, multitasking and better text editing but the multitasking and better text editing is coming after Christmas, hopefully a youtube app comes soon unless they are going to have to wait for flash which is also coming after Christmas but there is plenty more to keep me satisfied. Because WP7 can't multitask, ya know... so I don't see how it can handle those features, unless it is triggered when it detects an incoming call? Once I get my HD7 I'll try it for myself of course. It can because it's an OEM app added by HTC (hence why the features are like the ones HTC added to WM6.5 :p). OEMs are allowed to bend rules and utilise APIs not available to most developers. It's also why it's only available on HTC handsets, and not Samsungs.

Super kewl game ^__^ Oh and its worth noting, form what I can tell the loading times for games on Omnia 7 appear to be shorter than HTC devices :/ <img src="">

Mouettus
maybe I'm dumb... but I just downloaded the youtube app and can't make it work. Well all it does is start m.youtube.com in the browser and can search and listen from there. but when I'm browsing normal web content in the browser and come across a youtube video... nothing happens. I've tried tapping it, double tapping it, hold my finger on it, etc. ??

Hopefully we'll see an app to give a logged in experience a little bit easier but i'm SUPER happy youtube mobile works out of the box - especially logged in and favorited videos. The quality is also great but i haven't tried it over 3g, just wifi. I really like IMDB, Netflix, Shazam and Seesmic. The Nasa Mars app is also pretty cool - being able to do the cataloging for mars data on the phone is pretty fun :)

mad_onion
gReadie (?1.99) best Google Reader app by far. Has live notification. WeatherBug (free) best weather app and has live tile.
Cereal Bawks
Location Marker is a nice app. I use it often when hiking. It does however need placing manual pinpoint (only does in-place) and maybe an export function.
neoxphuse
Torrent Buddy works as said, I would love to see that you can change speeds on it though. Other than that, works exactly as described. WeatherBug is alright, doesn't work properly for me though. It doesn't seem to update properly, 3 degrees and sunny outside in BC? Don't think so. sw1tch..
Shopping List is great I use it every week. I also like Level, which as you guessed it allows you to check if a surface or object is level. Both are free. I am waiting for a usable LinkedIn app....
