  1. 1. Which do you prefer?

I have had the opportunity to use the Sense UI with someone Else's phone and I cannot stand it. If I bought a phone that has Sense i would root it specifically to get rid of Sense :p well not just for that reason however, it would be the first thing I do.

Stock android with launcher pro for me! (running gingerbread)

You can customize things to look a lot better than sense.

Stock Android. Stock Launcher. Wouldn't do it any other way. Though currently I'm using ADWLauncher, but only because I forgot to select Launcher2 when installing Cyanogen Mod the last time.

I use ADW.Launcher and I prefer it over Sense and Launcher2. I prefer it over Launcher2 because it is more smooth and enables more customization (gingerbread theme to go with my BuglessBeast 0.6.2). Sense is ok it's visually pleasing but that's about it.. My friends Droid Incredible had it and I wasn't much of a fan (but god was I jealous of the RAM it has over my MotoDroid)

I prefer the sense dialler, and I quite like the overall look. I'd kill for it in white though

Stock over Sense, but I prefer 3rd party launchers (LauncherPro) over both of them.

I used LauncherPro for a while however I got annoyed with a minor glitch where it would sometimes take up to a minute for my home screens to load after I exit the web browser or any game. So I went back to stock.

I've used sense and its ok, but I prefer Stock, I have a Droid X, which has motoblur  not the best skin for android. Currently running a aosp rom with stock gingerbread.

Sadly Gingerbread will most likely never be released for my phone (not from Google or Motorola) Motorola Original Droid However, I know a few groups that are working on custom roms for it and even know of a stable rom that has already released however, bluetooth does not currently work on it.

Sense only because Cyanogen hasn't got HDMI and 4g working on the EVO yet. And I would call sense stock because stock typically refers to how something comes out of the box not modded. Where as AOSP refers to a pure android base. That is my theory at least from what I gather from XDA-Developers.

Sense looks good. Until you look closely. Does anyone really need that dedicated button for adding widgets on the home screen? I don't really think so.

Definitely a waste of screen space right there. I have many times the functionality in the same amount of screen space using LauncherPro, and I am definitely not missing Sense in any way.

Simply put; Sense doesn't make sense.

Hurr.

Odd, did you try messing around with the settings or asking for help on the LP forums before removing it? I've never had that particular problem (except when I was running custom ROMs and my phone would need rebooted, where it would be slow and what not until I rebooted it), but it definitely sounds like your phone is removing LauncherPro from memory or something wile you are running the full screen apps.

Did you try any other launcers (adw.launcher is the other major replacement, there are others, but they are generally not as popular).

Good point, Sense is stock for HTC, and Motoblur is stock for Motorola. The poll could have had more options too......AOSP, Sense, Motoblur, Other (third-party, such as LauncherPro or ADW).

Stock Sense for me. I've tried customizing my HTC Desire with Widgetlocker and LauncherPro Plus, but went back to default the same day. It just feels better and it basically just works without customization needed. However, I do love the stock look from Gingerbread.

I ran Sense constantly on my Eris and generally have no issue with but I love Stock/Vanilla because it's 10x easier to customize. That being said, based on my carrier, I'd only buy Sense before Moto & TouchWiz since they have no stock android phones.

Launcher Pro for me on my Samsung Galaxy S. Although I do have my Launcher Pro skinned like Gingerbread since there is no Gingerbread rom available for my phone yet
