Konstantine
Well. I was playing with my HTC Magic, on which I had previously installed the Rogers 2.1 update. So... I rooted my phone Downloaded ROM Manager And from that, I downloaded Custom Kernel. I then selected to backup my existing ROM and wipe data. After backing up the ROM, it kept restarting like crazy. So... I removed the battery for 1 hour and then put it again, and WITHOUT pressing anything, it turned on and kept restarting by itself. O_O What must I do to fix this?(Buying a new phone is not an option ) I promise I will be a good boy if I fix it. *boohooho* T_T I had low battery. Dunno if that caused it. If I hold vol down+power, I go to hboot, then fastboot. I connect my USB, type adb devices on cmd but it doesn't display anything!! O;
Davo
Give it a full charge as that's always required before any flashing. You should be able to access recovery from HBoot. If not, it means that you didn't flash the recovery image correctly. The best thing to do then is search for "HTC Magic RUU" and go from there. Konstantine
I have installed the Magic_Rogers3.54.631.3 RUU. So, doesnt that mean that I need a RUU with a version number higher than 3.54?
Davo
RUU is just a stock factory image so you can start over. I *highly* suggest you read up more on rooting because you look like you're headed to only more problems.
