Double click issue with jQuery Accordion?

Hi, I am transferring a website from HTML to Joomla 1.5. Everything works fine except the accordion which has one problem: while on the html page each hidden content slides down with a single click, in Joomla it requires two clicks. I have mantained the same scripts, apart from the jQuery libraries plugin, which I found among the Joomla Extensions (Joomla has MooTools enabled by default).

Here is the old HTML site and here is the new one in Joomla. Can you give some advice please?

Start by removing Mootools from Joomla, it might be causing some conflicts, its not a good idea to mix both of em, you might also want to try to use the plugin you were using before, or revise the documentation of the new one.

I tried disabling mootools but it proves not to be the cause of the problem (I also installed a plugin that solves the issues with jQuery).

I also tried using the jQuery version found on the old website from which I have to move the data, but still it didn't solve the bug.

Did you try using the <script type="text/javascript" src="scripts/slimbox2.js"></script> from your old site?

That file is related to the styling of a Lightbox clone called Slimbox. It does not have affect the accordion.
