Firefox 4 breaks most downloaded software record on day two of release

Day two - 15 million as of 16:24 IST 24.3.11 , i.e. 8 million downloads!

Record was of 8 million downloads by Firefox 3 it self

Don't know what all the fuzz is about or what the big deal is because its not that great and Chrome is still faster and better.

That's a lot of downloads. Good for them. FF may not be dead as some has predicted, at least not yet.

I'm fine with it having a blank new tab. There are addons that provide that functionality for those who need it. The only use of new tab for me is to type something or search on the url. I want it to be snappy, and a fancy new tab page will slow it down.
