Recetnly, I reinstalled 7 on my netbook, and decided to give Ninite a shot. Basically, it's an installer that lets you pick from a huge host of freeware and shareware and automatically and silently install it, with no toolbars or adware. Normally, I'm a big skeptic about these things, but I decided to say "what the hell, why not", and I tried it, and it worked beautifully. All my apps, Flash installed, etc etc.
The only thing you miss out on is advanced setup options like tweaking file associations and whatnot, but other than that, it's fantastic. Give it a shot the next time you fresh install.

I also just found out you can use the tool to update after installing as well. Win :)
