Amarok
The Grudge. Nothing since that has scared me. I can't believe how much that movie creeped me out, but subsequent viewings weren't so bad.
SubjectDelta
I watched The Exorcist while on student exchange in Italy (10th grade, not long before my 16th birthday). I didn't understand half of what was said, but the visuals scared the **** out of me. I was forced to watch is before I was even in elementary and I was traumatized for years, lol. So much so, that nothing else ever scared me. Isn't she effin' creepy looking?
thommcg
Hard to separate Horror from Chiller. Though were I to omit overt horror (i.e. gore) then; Paranormal Activity Absolutely no budget, but the atmosphere in it trumped everything else. Who would have though that the sound of slowly stomping footsteps could be so terrifying? Expanding things a bit; The Thing The Fly The Mist Seven Hellraiser Pan's Labyrinth Perfume Alien Martyrs Haute Tension (I've not seen Audition!) ThePitt
When I was a kid I watched I could not sleep for days thinking about it. Threads was better. Time to time I go back and watch it. Dont ask me why
Lord Nite
Although there aren't any movies that really scare me, one does give me the willies after watching it: Arachnaphobia. While the movie isn't really scary, it turns up my spider fear a few notches for a couple of hours. I remember the first time I watched it, I stayed awake for 2 hours, wrapped in a blanket, constantly scanning the room for spiders. It still happens to me, to this day, whenever I watch it although not as long anymore.

Behemoth
REC, the original, has to be one of the scariest movies I've seen. Event Horizon is up there (thanks to whoever said that one, now I'm replaying it in my head).
Biotoxic_hazard_835
Threads was better. Time to time I go back and watch it. +Thayios Subscriber² Posted October 3, 2011 Subscriber² Share Posted October 3, 2011 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119081/ Event Horizon - first day we hooked up the 5.1, watched it late at night. No other movie since then has scared me/freaked me out. :/
Sir Topham Hatt
Event Horizon! I haven't seen that in years! Scary but more entertaining is Ghost Ship (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0288477/) (although only 5.3 in IMDB, I really like it!). But topping the scary list for me is Dead Silence (Dead"]http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0455760). 6.0 on IMDB, but it's about a ventriloquist and her dummies. That's pretty scary. Sorry I couldn't make the links nice but whatever format I type, it makes them crappy.

imachip
The first 2 Hellraiser movies, possibly as I watched them when I was 12-13. First one had the better plot but the second one was scarier: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104409/ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095294/ My fav John Carpenter horror, The Prince of Darkness: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093777/
techbeck
Dont really find movies scary these days. They are just bloody and full of gore which is not scary. Plus, movies are to predictable as well so its hard to be scared when you know what is going to happen.
Halfalive
The Exorcist is one of the scariest I think, but Freaks is a good one. The movie is weird and the atmosphere it develops gives me the creeps.
notta
Halloween without a doubt. You should make a poll on this one.
