I can't wait for season 2!!!! I love this show. It has replaced the void left by the end of The Sopranos.

I really enjoyed the season premiere. I don't care much for the whole Nelson storyline though.

Pretty much my second favorite series on TV right behind Dexter, and in some ways I like it more, especially with the past 2 episodes. So I have a theory as to how the rest of the season is going to play out...

Jimmy is now officially over the edge, especially after killing the Commodore and now being what looks to be a heroin junkie. His mother is going to wind up telling all of the other older dudes that Jimmy killed the Commodore, and that is going to mean Jimmy literally has no one to turn to, as Al and all those other guys are obviously finished with him from the way they were acting with the liquor deal. On top of all of his issues, the crazy polish butcher Manny from Philly is still trying to kill him (although I do see Jimmy's right hand man Richard possibly taking Manny out because he obviously loved Jimmy's wife Angela).

While all of this is going on, Nucky is going to want Margaret dead, as he no longer trusts her in anyway at all. He is going to ask his current right hand man Owen, the guy from Ireland who banged Margaret, to kill her. Owen is going to refuse for the obvious reason that he loves Margaret, and he is going to tell Margaret that Nucky wants her dead. Meanwhile, since Jimmy has no one to turn to except his boy with the mask Richard, he is going to go back to Nucky as he literally has no one else to go to. Nucky, being in a bind himself, is going to say the only way Jimmy can come back is to kill Margaret and Owen. Jimmy will kill Margaret (as he obviously has some issues with women overall), and Owen will either be killed by Richard, or vice versa, or they will kill each-other maybe?

Meanwhile let's not forget Agent Nelson Van Alden. Something big is going to happen with him, I just do not have any real theories as to what. Maybe he will go over the edge and try to kill Nucky, blaming him for all of his current misfortunes.

Perhaps I am totally wrong with the above, but it is fun to speculate, and either way, just an awesome show all around. As I said especially with these past 2 episodes, they really stepped it up this season.

My prediction for season 3 is that Nucky is going to kill Margaret!

Why did Nucky ask Rothstein if it was okay if Manny Horvitz disappeared if he didn?t intend to kill him? Am I missing something.. did he talk to Eli after he talked to Rothstein or something? Or is there some way that doing that would help manipulate Jimmy? Or was he using it as an excuse to see if Rothstein still had connections with him?

Did not see this coming, wonder what direction this show is going to take now that one of the lead characters has been killed off.

I can't believe it either. I don't know any of the history behind what happened in AC in that time period, but wow.

Man, I was TOTALLY wrong with my predictions.

I just did not honestly expect them to do that. I really did not.

For anyone who has watched the episode, here is a good little two page article about the decision to do what they did. They also discuss what is coming in upcoming seasons. it really sounds as if they are just getting started!!

At the end of the article, there is a link to an interview with Michael Pitt about his feelings about the whole decision. A quick, interesting read.

Obviously the article I link to contains major spoilers, so do not read it if you have not watched the episode yet.

Seriously, just brilliant. Really is shaping up to be one of my favorite TV shows of all time.

I think the show has gone in a seriously wrong direction the last 2 episodes. I'm just really disappointed, but maybe I'm the only one though.

No you're not, i actually think killing of Jimmy is going to hurt the show because he was more interesting then Nucky.

This would have been a good series finale, not season finale.

But it was still a great episode.
