Last week, Microsoft released some ads for Internet Explorer 8 that were intended to provide a "tongue-in-cheek look" at some of the new features of the browser. Unfortunately for them, there were those that weren't quite so happy watching a woman vomit, and as the Wall Street Journal reports, they've been removed.

The title for the ad was "O.M.G.I.G.P.", or for those not quite down with acronyms, "Oh My God I'm Going To Puke". It featured a man happily sharing his laptop with his partner; to her horror, he was viewing some generic revolting website (yes, whilst sitting at the table with his loved one), and thus, much projectile vomiting ensued. On him. After he slipped on it. It's truly worrying as to how, or why, a company would release such an ad, but the truth is that it happened and hopefully Microsoft are wiser from the experience. If you didn't catch the ad, we've included it below (keep in mind it'll probably be taken down soon).

A spokesperson for Microsoft said that, "While much of the feedback to this particular piece of creative was positive, some of our customers found it offensive, so we have removed it." This video has had Technologizer raise the question: is this the worst tech ad ever made?
