The day that most Windows community enthusiasts who have been following the beta program for Windows Vista, but haven't been part of it has arrived in the form of Windows Vista Customer Preview Program.

Microsoft has made available Beta 2, for download and shipping. Shipping includes RC1 when it becomes available later this year. Microsoft have put together a website that explains in detail how the program works, if your current system is capable of running Windows Vista and includes Community related websites as well as a full list of features we can expect when Vista ships.

In our earlier announcement of Vista Beta 2 availability, there was no information on how to obtain a product key. This can be done by using the download link here. After you select your country you will be taken to a registration page, after which a key will be mailed to you.
