We thought chips and processors were Intel's game, but we underestimated its capacity for the outlandish – it's now quite fond of crazy remotes, as shown by this new F1 racing wheel.
Designed to work with the new Viiv platform – its attempt to turn Media Centers into your TV of choice – the Entertainment Driver is apparently a close relation of the ones used in the BMW Sauber F1 cars, only without the team radio and gear shift buttons.
You'll be able to program its array of buttons to help you navigate your multimedia PC (Hi-Grade's DMS is our current fave Viiv number) and race around movies, TV and websites without swapping between ten handsets.
We doubt it'll work with racing sims, but at least you'll get a more interesting way of rifling through Google's videos.
The remote is only at the prototype stage at the moment, so there's no news on availability or pricing yet – we'll let you know if it goes into full production.
