Late yesterday Barry Goffe, Director of Windows Ultimate, today disclosed on windowsultimate.com that the remaining 19 language packs have been made available via Windows Update.
A multi-language user interface (MUI) pack allows a user to run Windows Vista Ultimate in one of 36 available languages. You can quickly switch among languages on a single installation of Windows Vista by associating a system language with your login name.

I'm not going to go on an anti-vista rant, because to be honest, I don't think it's a bad OS, but things like this really don't want to make me pay more. This in particular is something that should be in business. I was always under the impression that Ultimate was for home users / gamers etc, and they're not the people that will use a feature like this, it's the businesses where people might have people of multiple nationalities working under the same network, correct me if I'm wrong?
For example, Language Packs as an Ultimate Extra. Are you f**king kidding me?
And not every version of Vista has Remote Desktop abilities, control and receive. The single best tech support feature MS has in XP and Vista and the MOST NOOB users (the ones who need it the most) don't have it. Un-f**king believable.
It's an extra because it's something so few users need, but for those who can make use of it, it's a great thing to have and be able to do.
As for Remote desktop, both my premium and ultimate can receive remote desktop connections, wich is all the noobs need.

He's right. Both points are valid. XP doesn't have these Language packs in it. You can't just up and change the whole Windows UI language on the fly in XP, and few will ever do so. So it's an "extra". It makes perfect sense, you just don't want to see it. For the sake of finding something to complain about.
And the the n00bs only need to be able to recieve a Remote Desktop connection so they can get help not give it out. and they can do that on Premium and Business also.
the ability to change the media center wallpaper from blue to black or some other color would be nice small feature that would make me shut up for a month while they think of some other small feaure that will make me shut up for even longer... just a thought
Another thought, can we get a vote on neowin's page asking people who use vista if they are using the language packs... i wonder how many people use it...
Smooth Microsoft, this is something that should have been in all versions. It's hardly and Ultimate extra.
