Kam Vedbrat, formerely a Windows UX guy, just demonstrated some great new features in Direct 2D and DirectWrite for smoothing fonts. Kam also demonstrated the new Gabriola font included in Windows 7.

Why host video on qik? for some reason videos never load for me. Does anyone else have trouble? Why not Youtube?

Same with me, Qik really does suck, Why not just stick to Youtube guys?

Will directwrite be integrated into Windows 7. That looks really good!

Microsoft really needs to consolidate and connect their APIs better... DirectX, Direct2D, XNA, and fifty thousand other interfaces and none of them are connected...

The quality of the video is some much than Youtube.
