I'm afraid Maxthon is faster in all of my tests and also rates higher on all rendering tests and html5 tests, just open http://www.html5test.com on 360 or coolnovo to see it's low score based on chrome 30 as coolnovo and 360 just copy all googles code over and slap a new version on it, at least the maxthon expand on the engine. Maxthons ad blocker is not perfection but it has the option to manually add filters which 360 does not. The only issue i have with Maxthon is the lack of individual tab processes.

last time i heard maxthon was using some odd tricks to make html5 test give it a better score, since that event, maxthon has been removed from the list on html5 test

as i said - i like maxthon, but i just wish it was better

that's possible, at the core it's the blink engine thats making all of them browsers quick, I don't mind using them as long as they don't become hogs when they have 1 or 2 extensions like firefox does. i'd love to see a firefox clone with the blink engine, be interesting to see.

even without addons, firefox still becomes a hog after some use, sad but true

both coolnovo and 360 secure browser use an older version of webkit aka blink. Maxthon is another dual browser that is more up to date and faster.

trust me, its not faster than this, also maxthon has many issues:

poor performance on many websites, some of them are bookmarked automatically by maxthon, yet they perform bad
the built-in adblocker doesnt work everywhere
you cant install chrome extensions and the maxthon library is one of the poorest, probably worse than opera widgets back in the day

i like maxthon, but it has a long way to go before it becomes usable for my taste

this one at least has a good adblocker and as i mentioned - loads pages instantly
its OK, i will use it for a couple of days and go back to opera

i can tell you its really fast, because im using it right now

it installs within less than 5 seconds and it loads pages instantly, i dont know how its doing it, but somehow it appears as if its raping websites and bandwidth and everything just so it can load them for you as fast as possible, which is really cool, the only downside is that it cant have chrome extensions

The browser appears to based on CoolNovo, another chromium based browser. Both provide nearly the same feature, only difference really is that 360 secure browser has a different look and less customization.
