You do not need Admin rights to use a computer. You only need Admin rights to install stuff. When you setup a pc which is going to have multiple users only 1 should have Admin rights. No one under the age of 18 should have Admin rights. When setting a computer for a novice you should set it with an Admin account and then set that person up as a standard user. Malware has less chance of running if the user does not have Admin rights. Plus if that standard account becomes infected you can actually just delete that account and recreate it. Using a standard account is always much safer then using a standard account.

Then why bother commenting?

Also, I forgot to add "for my customers."
I don't run security software on my main machine.

If you do a bit more research you'll find that isn't true.

Agreed. I just cleaned a computer with AVG on it. (Fully updated, viruses present)
Installed MSE, viruses found and killed. Computer running perfectly. (Y)

Yup. Yet another new release. Yet another release where the standard account bug is not fixed. I have never seen an antivirus that only works in an Admin account. I have never seen an antivirus company refusing to fix a severe bug even after acknowledging it.

So, It won't work if you login as Admin, install for all users and then go back to the standard account? As, I've said before, I am testing it on My Dad's laptop and a few units at work but have not tried what I suggested above.

Your misunderstanding me. 360 IS or TS will work and install in an Admin account. Then when a standard user logs in it does not work. And as all of you should know a standard account is safer. Especially for novice users. But the fact that 360 does not function in a standard account is a very serious bug. I have emailed them and they acknowledge it. But still refuse to address it.

It is not a joke. Every other av out there works in a standard account.

That's true, but how does that even work, how do other Av's work in a standard around. I guess they do, but it boggles the mind when they dont' have admin, are they sacrificing stuff?
