3dfx to close website today - forever

Thanks BJ for sending us news that today is your last chance to pay your respects to the 3dfx.com website. I myself started on the 3d bandwagon with a 3dfx Voodoo1 (4mb) then a 2 (8mb) and then my final card a Voodoo 3 3000 AGP (16mb) before high tailing it to nvidia based chipsets.

They are to be respected, they gave the gaming industry something to look forward to with their premium ground breaking accelerators of the time, but like all good things -that came to a sad grinding halt about one year ago after releasing its range of Voodoo4 and 5 cards. Below is the blurb from the website and some links.

To our valued customers:

3dfx Interactive, Inc. is no longer providing support for any 3dfx products and drivers. Information about 3dfx is no longer available from the 3dfx.com website. Please be advised that on February 19, 2002, the 3dfx.com website will be shut down entirely. As a result, the following alternatives have been put in place:

View: Voodoo Files hosts all the original supported 3dfx drivers

View: and of course a link to nvidia.. the guys who bought them out
