A Tool to Deceive and Slaughter

Everyday we hear of odd items being sold on eBay but sometimes an odd item has the ability to alter the way we perceive ‘art’.  A piece of art has been put up for sale on eBay that is titled “A Tool to Deceive and Slaughter”.  The device is a black box that perpetually tries to sell itself on eBay.

The device will place itself on eBay every 7th day in an attempt to sell itself to the next collector. The idea is that the device will be continuously for sale and always moving about.

There is a lengthy list of terms that you must agree to before buying, in essence, it’s to keep the device always on eBay as the originator had intended.  The device is currently listed for $2500 with 0 bids.  Who knows, you could buy it for $2500 now and in a week it could sell for $3500, it could be an easy way to make or lose a lot of money quickly.

Would have been cool with some more details on the hack, interesting concept but it remains the same would have made it more compelling had it gone through changes, like an self-updating worm.

I think it's a pretty cool idea.
I hope it lists itself at a random starting price, sort of, between this and that price. Would be good to see it develop over the next few months/years. A bit like the BBC container.

Dude, but, WHATS IN THE BOX?!?!?!

Someone from Hackaday will grab it and rip it to shreads, detailing exactly what's inside it. ;)
