Ad-Aware 2007 has been getting a ton of bad reviews everywhere. If you head on over to betanews.com you can clearly see that almost all users are highly displeased with this new release. By the way for what it's worth, Ad-Aware 2007 was officially released (out of beta) sometime in either May or June. It may have been April but anyway, I found it odd that a program that is partially named after the year 2007 was not released at the begining of the year or earlier such as Norton Antivirus 2007 or the beta of Norton Antivirus 2008 which will be released before 2008 is here. And for the record I don't use Norton I use NOD32, I was just using that as an example. And yes I have had some choice words to say about NOD32 in the past but after retesting and new releases I realize that it is the best solution for me now.

When I used Ad-Aware 2007 it seemed to be fine except after I had closed it out and rebooted my PC a process belonging to Ad-Aware 2007 was using 50,000kb of memory! Keep in mind this is the FREE version where no real-time protection is available so this is unjustifiable. Once I saw this I immediately uninstalled this. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Thanks, but no thanks. Hate programs that unnecessarily run as a service and then are to stupid to shut the service down when done. Same with the newly updated A2 program. :x

Been using SuperAntiSpyware Pro lately and have since removed Adaware, A2, and Spybot because it's to freaking slow! Personally, almost have no use for any of these type programs anymore as they ONLY find tracking cookies for me.
