Tried to install the new version on Windows Vista Home Premium and received the following error message: Fatal Error: Installation stopped prematurely. Tried to download the file again from other sources (Download.Com and publishers site) received the same error. No support at publishers site FAQ's were for previous version.

I guess this isn't vista compatible yet..

From Lavasoft web site:

Note: Ad-Aware 2007 is not Vista ready. All valid licenses will be upgraded to the Vista compatible version for free upon release.

Hmm... this has crashed three times so far since I installed in on Vista. Awesome.

same here, I uninstalled it already

It states in plain and easy to understand language on the main site, that the program IS NOT VISTA COMPATIBLE!!

Yet you post complaints about it crashing....

Awesome.

Junk. This product has been a mess for a couple of years since they started pushing the pay to use version. I dumped it in favor of spyware terminator long ago.

Just installed Spyware Terminator, after reading this article. What a POS!! Absolutely HATE programs that make you reboot after installing, especially POS's like this one that have absolutely NO REASON to need to reboot. Didn't install that crap clamav or the real time POS, so there should've been no reason to reboot. Upon rebooting, I had no internet connection. Uninstalled immediately and then had to reboot again!!

I'll GLADLY stick with Adaware, Spybot and A2, over this (Spyware Termiantor) POS!!

The new version of Adaware works perfectly for me, although I am leaning toward liking A2 the best out of these 3 anymore.

The service that it adds is rather bloated, when I tried a scan after installing total RAM useage went well over 40 MB for the service and another 30-35 MB for the scanner itself. Yes, I got most of it back, the service consuming a mere 16 MB when I shut down the scanner. I probably would not have minded if if that RAM usage included a continuous scanner, but the free version doesn't have that.

Nothing, but, if you cancel the installation (free version) the window that comes up it refers still as beta. :P Have send them an e-mail for that.

Link doesnt work

Edit: Ops, sry my internet was wierd for a while there, cus i couldnt enter any site

Ad-Adware 2007 gave me 6 false positives: 1 registry and 5 HOSTS file entries that were just fine.
Uninstalled it and went back to SE.
