Alice Madness Returns gets free iOS app; comes with discount for full game

Alice Madness Returns is due to be released next month for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. However you can get a nice discount of the full game if you check out the free iOS app for the game that's just been released on Apple's App Store. The interactive app gives more information of the game which takes the player into a much darker and more adult version of Lewis Carroll's children's fantasy world.

The app uses a number of the game's art concepts to create an interactive story that prepares the user for playing the full third person action game. It also serves as a reminder for players of the original game American McGee's Alice. When you complete the storybook the app gives you a code that you can use to get a $10 discount on the PC, Xbox 360 or PS3 game.

The full game is due for release on June 14 via publisher Electronic Arts. As we have mentioned previously the game's development is being lead once again by former id Software designer American McGee and his China-based game studio Spicy Horse. For those of you who want to play the PC version, you might want to consoler Alice: Madness Returns The Complete Collection. The special edition, available for sale only via EA's online store, will have both Alice Madness Returns and the original American McGee's Alice which will have a graphical upgrade for its appearance in this special edition. There's no word on what specifically will be upgraded for the original game.
