Amazon CIO to Retire

Online merchant Amazon.com announced yesterday that Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer Richard Dalzell will retire by the end of 2007. Dalzell has served in his current position since February, and previously acted as Amazon's chief information officer and senior vice president, Worldwide Architecture & Platform Software for Amazon. No details have been released as of yet to the reason behind Dalzell's retirement.
