CHANNEL PLAYERS have now confirmed there's adequare supply of multiprocessing AMD 2400 chips, with a wholesale price tag of $230. And as the chip market never sleeps nor lets itself doze after a big Christmas dinner, there's word on the street that the 2600 MP chips are now expected to be released in January of next year.
That's likely to be in the middle of the month, distributors and resellers tell the INQUIRER. Last week a senior AMD executive claimed that it was selling more two way multiprocessing servers than the market realised.
