AMD Athlon XP 2000+ Vs. Intel Pentium 4 2.0 Ghz

Techhard has just finished up a review of AMD Athlon XP 2000+ compared to the Intel Pentium 4 2.0 Ghz. I thought this would be interesting to post.

Here`s a snip:

"2 is sweeter then 1" The 2000 MHz is latest speed barrier broken already broken by Intel in last year. Also, in the normal PC user scenario the 2000 is much eye catching then that of 1900 or 1800. With the launch of AMD`s model numbering with the launch of Athlon XP, the 1500+ , 1600+, 1700+, 1800+ and 1900+, surely caught the eyes of normal PC user since he/she assumes that 1900 is equivalent to 1900 MHz which is not actually true. AMD argues that these "Model Number" are there to compare the Athlon XP to an equivalently clocked Thunderbird. Though as a PC enthusiast we have seen in several that even 1900 + (running at 1.60 Ghz) easily outperforms Pentium 4 2.0 Ghz."
