Lol.............That is just a simple explanation. Go to there website. Gezzz. Been using Bandizip for awhile now.

I've installed the program and tried to create an archive, I can choose ZIP, ZIPX, EXE, TAR, TGZ, LZH, ISO and 7z, no RAR in sight. Being so experienced with Bandizip, perhaps you could enlighten us as to how to create a RAR archive from within the program?

Bandizip does do RAR. Compression and extraction. Paying for an archiver is as dumb as paying for a defragger.

Unless you specifically want to compress in the RAR format, then WinRAR is better because Bandizip can't do it ;)

If you don't want to compress with RAR Bandizip is definitely worth a go...

Yes, this is the best archiver free or paid.

Just some things:
Supports RAR5 (7zip, peazip, etczip don't)
Has x64 & x32 context menus in x64 install (7zip stable doesn't)

I like to download the "admin" version at http://www.bandisoft.com/bandizip/help/admin/ (installs in program files rather than localappdata. Installing it rather than using portable brings good shell integration, with a number of configurable features you may enjoy in your workflow.
