In an announcement that seemed to have slided by, Digital Illusions CE (DICE) announced that it was working on two next-gen platform games for Microsoft and Sony--one is Battlefield: Modern Combat for the Xbox Next, the other is a still unknown title that is slated for release in 2006 or 2007. Most noteworthy is that Modern Combat is listed as coming out for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and "MS Nextgen" in fall 2005--further supporting the speculations of a mid-to-late 2005 release for the Xbox Next.
