Beta testers get refresh Windows NET server

Sites who, as of 9/10/2001, have successfully downloaded build 3505 of Whistler server have been selected to receive a refresh of that build. This is an interim build of Microsoft® Windows® .NET, Build 3541.

Build 3541 was re-released to testers earlier yesterday in what Microsoft calls a "refresh" Beta Collector reports. He sent me the release notes to the refresh where Microsoft outline an array of new product keys (like the ones that went active after RC2 of Windows XP Pro and Home Editions) These keys are again unique to testers to try and slow down the leaking of rogue keys. Older keys will not work on builds 3542 and up Microsoft again outline the consequence of any leaked keys getting out on the net with a kick from the technical beta.

In addition to the naming of Whistler Server(s) to Windows NET Server, Server is now called Standard Server and Advanced Server is now called Enterprise Server.

The change from "Whistler" to Windows NET will begin appearing throughout server builds from Beta 3 of which this build, 3541 is not.
