CHUWI's 'Vi8 Plus' Windows 10 tablet will offer Intel quad-core CPU, 2GB RAM and USB Type-C

It was only a matter of time before USB Type-C would trickle its way into budget devices, and the newly released CHUWI 'Vi8 Plus' will be one of the latest Windows 10 tablets to offer the port.

Although we have reviewed Windows 10 budget tablets in the past, the CHUWI Vi8 Plus will be the first to offer a USB Type-C port. Prior, we have seen other low cost devices offering USB Type-C, and the results were less than stellar, even creating quite the raucous. It is unknown at this time whether the Vi8 Plus will be up to the mark.

The CHUWI Vi8 Plus offers the following specifications and features:

  • 8-inch IPS 1280x800 display
  • Intel Cherry Trail X5 Z8300 quad-core CPU
  • 2GB DDR3 RAM with 32GB storage, expansion via microSD
  • 2MP front-facing and rear camera
  • Bluetooth 4.0/OTG/HDMI/WiFi/USB Type-C

The Windows 10 tablet is currently available for under $100 USD, and can be ordered via the source link below.
