What is it that you guys like about this player that others don't have? I'm using Media Player Classic Home Cinema and I think it's one of the best. I haven't tried PotPlayer in a long while, so that's why I'm asking.

I prefer PotPlayer to MPC-HC because:
- keyboard shortucts to move the video window (CTRL+ALT+numpad), leaning the video window to whichever screen corner I want without using the mouse;
- the ability to overlay the video controls on top of the video and auto-hiding it;
- there are a few third-patry minimal skins which look amazing with the overlay (like this one: http://vokol.deviantart.com/ar...yer-Mini-Portable-428187430 ).

That skin look great. I guess I will try PotPlayer again and see how it works, specially taking the time to configure it and use a few skins on it. Thanks!

i just noticed... what's the 'install additional codec' thing near the end of installation?

i unchecked it to be safe.

p.s. also i just noticed it's finally nice that the program does not reset your settings to default upon each installation now like it did since i been using it up until very recently. now my skin and window size etc seem to be intact which is a nice bonus as before i would have to run a .reg file to restore my previous settings.
