Dell unveils six new Precision workstations, starting $679

Dell has announced six new mobile and desktop workstations touting more power and lighter form factors. The refreshed lineup is aimed at creative professionals who require purpose-built workstations, as well as other customers who demand powerful machines at an affordable price.

The portfolio of the mobile workstations has improved drastically, now with the new 6th generation Intel Core processors, first Intel Xeon processors for mobile workstations and future Intel Xeon processors E3-1200 product families. Graphic performance from NVIDIA and AMD further improve these devices' computing ability while a new battery design ensures balance between extensive usage and working time.

Dell has also improved upon the display of the devices, with Full HD and PremiumColor 4K UHD options on the InfinityEdge display, allowing virtually bezel-less screens. Rahul Tikoo, director and general manager for Dell Precision says:

We listened to our customers from media and entertainment, engineering, manufacturing, finance and beyond to deliver the highest performing systems for their critical workloads. This portfolio brings together industry-leading solutions combining great, new technologies from our hardware partners, seamless functionality with critical applications from our software partners, and amazing innovations from our Dell engineering teams to deliver powerful and beautifully-balanced mobile and fixed workstations to our customers.
