Digital 5, Inc., the leading supplier of embedded systems and software for digital entertainment devices, today announced the introduction of Netmedia(TM). Implemented on TI's TMS320C5000(TM) Digital Signal Processor (DSP) family, the Netmedia solution software includes optimized codec engines running under a networked RTOS environment, with less than 200KB of code, increasing the amount of performance headroom available on the DSP.
