Discuss: What'd you get and give?

Hopefully you didn't have to resort to drastic measures to celebrate the holidays...

Now that most of us have had the chance to unwrap our presents and watch others unwrap the presents we got them, the two most pressing questions are: "What'd you get?" and "What'd you give?"

Obviously we want to hear the technology gifts you got or gave – Neowin is a technology website, after all – but feel free to chime in and let everyone know non-technology gifts you got as well. Was there a gift you were particularly proud to give, or were there special circumstances that made a gift all the better? It's all relevant – be as detailed as you like.

So have at it and let us know what you got and gave in the comments below!

Either you got something in return or you didn't get closer.

This is a <18 site so I wont get into details.

Gave Nexus 7 tablets to my daughters and a Surface tablet to my son (though he won't be opening it till next week when he flies in from California). Got a logitech touch mouse 620.

Compared to my rooted Nook Color the Nexus 7s are figgin awesome&#33 (while I get to continue using the dinosaur); I do not like that they do not have HDMI out or an sdcard slot, but I figured out how to set up a divx media server on my pc and stream their videos so they don't need that much space. I would have gotten them all Surfaces, but I couldn't afford $1800 just on Santa's gifts. I'll be building the girls PCs later in the year so they have something to hook up to their HDTVs.

Not sure cost matters to kids ... It is likely the Nexus 7 will suit them better anyway. Good gifts!

I'm getting a $200 head job!!

Unfortunately, have to wait until early next spring to get it, because it's going to be performed on the heads/valve seat hardening, of my 1966 Plymouth Satellite!!

My family gave me an HTC 8x! Very, very happy with this device so far -- excellent audio and camera picture quality and blazingly responsive.

For many reasons and not just this thoughtful gift, I'm incredibly thankful to have them as my family.

Gave: musical walker for the baby in the house, and also had friends all chip in for an Android tablet. Cheered our friend right up. Also have two pending gifts to be given in the coming days.
