Could we finally have a real date for the release of Doom 3?

It appears that Doom 3's PC release is set...August just got a whole lot scarier!

Both EB Games and GameStop's corporate websites have just listed an official date for the PC release of the highly anticipated Doom 3. GameStop's page contains a graphic which states "Official launch date of August 3rd, 2004 confirmed!" for id's latest shooter from hell, and there is little reason to believe this date is not real or that it will change. We'll expect an official press release from publisher Activision soon, but chances are August 3, 2004 will be Dooms Day on the PC. Gamers rejoice!
