Dreamfall: the Longest Journey demo

A whopping eight months after the game's release, a whopping large playable demo for Dreamfall: the Longest Journey is now online, offering the chance to try out this 3D adventure sequel by Funcom. Details on the contents of this demo are not (yet) available so your adventuring mileage may vary, not in the least because the immense 3.5 GB download size could make it difficult to download using standard browsers that don't support files over 2.0 GB.

I loved the game, going to try to find the first one, maybe in a old/secondhand box somewhere. Like people said it was alot like an interactive movie, but I didn't mind it because of the great storyline. I find it odd that they're releasing the entire thing for free, as someone 'on the fence' on wether to buy it will search for a demo, play the whole thing, then what reason do they have to buy the game? Meh, still cool that some game makers still beleive in shareware.

This is an amazing game. I bought it, and I love it. I got it on the 24th, and I seriously spent at least 5 hours that day (I got it around 2pm) playing it because I just couldn't tear myself away from it.

The camera/controls are take a little getting used to, but after that they seem very well done.

Excellent game

Thought it might! Seemed pretty large for a demo. Great game imo, if your into this sorta genre of games.

Agreed as to what someone said previously, in that it was pretty consoley. I love consoles, but this is ob a direct port from the xbox version, control and camera are pretty fumbly. Ive a 360 joypad plugged into my pc, its definately needed for this type of game!

I liked the storyline of the previous game, nice graphics, but waaaay to "consoley". I positively hate it when a game feels like it has been made for consoles instead of a PC ( think "Deus Ex 2" ).

A lot of people like films. A large percentage of the population in fact, but I doubt they will all like this game however :cheeky:

Dreamfall is an excellent game. But if all you care about is action, then this game might not be for you since its main focus is the story.

TLJ and Dreamfall were both excellent story games, some people like a plot in their game rather than the usual mouse and keyboard abuse....

Dreamfall was too short for me and it end was way too open-ended for the next game which I'm dying to play... can hardly wait

I wouldn't even bother downloading this demo, the game is absolutely attrocious.

Strange - I loved the game ( as I did love the first "The Longest Journey" ) - but hey, whatever floats your boat.

All I can say is that your SPELLING is atrocious.

That was just one word, my spelling is usually very good, thanks.

I apologize .. it was rude of me.

So, what you didn't like about the game ? Except the fact that it came on 5 or 6 CDs :-D

EDIT:
And the fact that it's a part of trilogy, which forces us to wait few more years (hopefully) to know the entire story.

It was just too slow-paced for me. I couldn't get into it at all, it was too boring.

Edit Apology accepted :).
