Dropbox updates iOS app; adds Facebook-Twitter sharing

With the launch of iOS 6 coming up on Wednesday, companies are busy launching new updates to their iOS apps. Today Dropbox, the cloud file storage service, released a major update to its iOS app.

The new version is now available for download from iTunes and adds a few new features. The biggest is the ability to share your cloud files directly on your Facebook and/or Twitter accounts. It also adds support for AirPrint, which allows iOS users to print documents from their Dropbox account directly to AirPrint compatible printers. It also adds Korean to its list of languages.

The addition of giving users the option of sharing files directly to Facebook and Twitter should be welcomed by its users, who have previously had to manually copy and paste their Dropbox links inside these services. Users can even share files to Facebook's messenger feature if they want to keep their information a little more private.

So far, there's no word on when the Facebook and Twitter support will be added to the Android app for Dropbox. The company recently launched an option to put in two-step authentication for added security measures.
