EE is offering 100GB of free 4G data a month, for two months, with its new PAYG SIM

Unless you're on an unlimited mobile data plan, chances are you'll have given a thought at some point to managing your monthly data allowance, to make sure you don't exceed your limit and get hit with some nasty overage charges.

But if you're in the UK and you fancy some freedom from those worries for a couple of months, EE has an offer that might appeal.

The UK's largest mobile network (and Europe's largest 4G carrier) is offering 100GB of free mobile data per month, for two months, when you order its new Limited Edition pay-as-you-go (PAYG) SIM before May 31, and top it up with a £10 Data Pack.

That includes 50 minutes of calls and 50 texts, along with 1GB of 4G data - and when that first gigabyte runs out, EE will top up your allowance with 100GB of extra data to enjoy.

Be aware that each 100GB of data will run out within 30 days of activation, and while there's no contract obligation to stay with EE with the PAYG SIM, you should also note that the £10 Data Pack payment will recur unless you opt out. Additionally, the small print for this offer notes that "by signing up for the SIM you agree to being sent marketing communications from us."

You can grab the Limited Edition SIM free by ordering it from the EE site, and once you top it up with the first £10 Data Pack, text 100GB to 150 to activate the free data offer.
