If people think the WP apps "sucks" how would you rate the Android app then?

I think the Android FB app is pretty decent, it's just slow as molasses.

Better than the WP one. Even if it still isn't great.

They've been building a native android app! Will be coming out soon!

Think you guys might be missing the point of the story. Looks like facebook is making a transition into the Windows 8 ecosystem. This an opportunity for FB developers to "...build social applications on Windows 8 using .NET, HTML5 and JavaScript". Clearly they're not going to make a twitter client.

Ironic, given Facebook itself doesn't have a Windows 8 app.

Or a WP8 app. The official wp8 app is an MS thing. And it sucks.

I assume it's the same as the WP7 app. It's an app written by Clarity Consulting. And it doesn't suck.

It's painfully slow on WP7 and lacking in many areas though.

That's because there is little reason to have an app, just use the people hub. It's ad free and you don't have them stupid sponsored posts being injected into your news feed.

Give Facebook Touch a try in WP7, don't know if it exists in WP8.

Are you aware that WP8 is backwards compatible with WP7 apps unless the dev specifically excludes 8? I'm sure I've seen FB Touch in the listings on my Lumia 920.

LOL. Really?

1) The UI of the FB app is largely taken up by the obnoxiously sized blue bar and headers, plus the button bar on the bottom. The feed only gets a fraction of the already small screen real estate.

2) The notifications are not pushed in real time.

3) The Wall is called Wall, not Timeline. Wth?

4) Other functions we see in the Android and iOS versions are simply not there.

Yeah. It sucks.

It does exist for WP8. It's just the touch site wrapped in an app.

interesting you should mention that. We went to the hackathon and build a Facebook client/reader for Windows 8 store. We call it "Facebook Friends" app (for lack of better more creative name). It is in store already. And it has won prize in hackathon.
