First trailer for 'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare' multiplayer released

Developer Sledgehammer Games just showed off the first footage of "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" in advance of Germany's Gamescom conference, which begins tomorrow, and it looks to be a fairly substantial departure from other entries in the long-running franchise.

The first trailer of the multiplayer mode showcases the many new features at the disposal of users, such as cloaking and quick movement from the exoskeleton suit equipped on all players. Some of the movement seems reminiscent of "Titanfall," which was developed by former Call of Duty developers at Respawn Entertainment and features parkour, jetpacks and cloaking.

Slegehammer said the game will include all the traditional Call of Duty modes as well as some new modes, such as a Uplink, which sees players competing for a satellite drone to be thrown or jumped into the opposing team's goal, similar to a game of football.

"Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" will be released for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on Nov. 4, though gamers who pre-order will receive it a day early. Those gamers will also receive two custom weapons and a special double-XP event the day before the game's full retail release.

Glad to see the sniper is still a joke. Did you see that no scope where the corss hairs were not even on the player!!!

I don't know why they don't fix that1!

Meh, COD has ran its course. All MP now which really sucks. If COD released a good single player campaign, then I would consider buying another COD game. Not everyone likes to play MP.

You don't tell them what you like; they tell you what you like. You'll like multiplayer.... or else.

This should be interesting, looks like they blended Titanfall, with COD, with UT. Could be great, could be terrible, have to wait and see.

My only personal concern is that COD was always "twitchy", but still doable, this looks a bit insane at times.

And how do we know there isn't a single-player campaign? This particular trailer focussed on MP - that does not necessarily mean there is no single-player. Just because Titanfall lacks SP, don't make the same assumption about CoD:AW.

Guys cmon, it's COD. I love it, but ###### hasn't changed. you think everyones gonna play like this its probably gonna be stupid again.

My first impression was Crysis. That high-tech stuff is very Crysis style indeed. Too bad I could only run it on Power Point mode. You know, 1fps.
