Gallery: Microsoft's new Wedge keyboard and mouse

Microsoft recently announced a pair of new peripherals, the Wedge keyboard and mouse. While the products are not yet out on retail shelves, Microsoft has posted up several high resolution images of the new devices in use.

One thing we noticed right away is that the new mouse is quite small. The wedge design invokes minimal contact with your hand and will certainly be tossed into a travel bag along side the new keyboard. While we can't judge build quality or the travel distance on the new keyboard keys, the two peripherals do have us intrigued.

Microsoft has previously built quality keyboard and mice so we would be willing to bet that these new products were tested heavily and work quite well in the real world. Until we get our hands on the products, enjoy the gallery below that offers the best look yet at the new products.

OK I don't like the keyboard (most of the most useful keys are hidden or removed), but it looks quite nice, and I could see it as a tablet keyboard, but that Mouse looks horrible to use.

What keys that are useful are missing??

On a more serious note, the calender tile is blue. Shouldn't it be purple?

It's very close the the original purple colour. Put it down to image compression / colour interpretation as it's next to a predominately blue background colour.

Actually got a chance to see one and use one very recently. The keyboard is rather lovely, but the mouse is certainly a different experience

I like his Picard action figure and the fact Microsoft has an Apple product in the picture! LOL!

It looks alot like an iTouch in a blue case. The WP don't have a circular button on the bottom, do they? If you look closely this one has a round button like an iDevice.

It's clearly a lumia 900 cyan (look at the others pictures inside the article).
And thanks Neowin for reposting a new old by more than a week now.

No, it's a Nokia Lumia 900. What you're describing is simply the Start screen button, which is a Windows logo. Also, what's an iTouch? I don't think Apple has a product called like that.

It's a cyan Lumia. It's the Windows flag that you're seeing. I love how Brandon has Picard, Locutus, and the Big E on his desk.

That's a blue lumia, you can see Nokia in one of the pictures later. Thanks for playing though.

Just the angle, it's a Cyan Lumia 900.

We can also say this dude's an active smoker (see the cigarette-filled ash tray?)
Before the day's over we would have narrowed down the list to 10 people

Nope, can't see a "cigarette-filled ash tray".

Both you and Tyler R. are legally blind.

Oh so you know EXACTLY what it is with your razor-sharp vision.
Well what is it then? I'm dying to hear

If you look closely, you can see Picard facepalming.

+1 LOL Clearly a Lumia.

That mouse looks uncomfortably small, like the terrible Apple Puck Mouse. Hopefully it's not!

Seriously... a Lumia 900 doesn't look familiar to you?
