3DO has announced plans for a public beta of Jumpgate, a futuristic space simulator where players engage each other in battles, trade goods, prospect for resources, and join "squads" - a key element of the game. In Jumpgate, gamers enter a multiplayer world filled with political intrigue and intense competition. A new round of beta testing is set to begin shortly and will last a duration of three weeks.
