Microsoft Corp. today announced that Linkin Park is slated to be the first music promotional partner for the popular Microsoft® Xbox(TM) video game system. Kicking off the partnership with the band's first Projekt: Revolution tour, the two entities aim to expand their rapidly growing fan bases in a promotional campaign designed to reach each other's core audiences nationwide.

"We're huge fans of Xbox," said Linkin Park guitarist Brad Delson. "We've been playing it since before it came out, and we're excited about the opportunity to include Xbox in the first Projekt: Revolution tour."

Still, Intel's far smaller rival did well against Intel in 2001. AMD gained 3.5 points of the market for microprocessors last year against Intel, according to figures released this week by Mercury Research.

AMD increased its share of the microprocessor market to 20.2 percent in 2001 from 16.7 percent in 2000, while Intel closed out 2001 with 78.7 percent of the market, down from 82.2 percent during 2000.

The Athlon 4 processor 1500+ is the first mobile chip from AMD that uses a model name rather than its clock speed to distinguish it.

AMD claims that the performance of a microprocessor is determined by more than just its clock speed and should include how many transactions per minute the chip can perform, among other measures.

The company first moved to the model name branding strategy with its Athlon desktop PC processor late last year, and it introduced the Athlon 4 mobile processor in May 2001.

That band should not even be considered as a metal band. In fact, it is not even near a good band. They are like rebel Backstreet Boys and they plainly suck.

Personally I think that the both of you are somewhat childish. Sait I agree that diversity is the best part and just because you are different does not mean you should be thought of differently. and Fizik you do not need to insult people for there beliefs. And telling someone to kill themselves because they do something you dont like is unnessicary. And if anyone has a problem with someone else because they are different they really need to take a look at themselves. No one is the same except for the fact that we are all unique. I know I cant spell and I know I dont know proper english.

I link Linkin Park , but with the DJ they have that spins and does mixing, I wouldn't say they really fall into metal or rock, I don't know what the hell they are, but I like them.

This is a good development though i would have liked them to promote PS2.

Wow, has this commentry boxout gone wayward or what? Right, lets get something straight. Slipknot = not new metal. Not even slightly. They sound nothing like Korn or Linkin Park or whatever the definition of New Metal is supposed to be. Linkin Park = considered new metal by the press, but noone seems to know what new metal is really. I always thought new metal was Korn and Deftones. Linkin Park are more of a fusion of Rock, metal and even techno. Keep in mind I'm not being bias, I like and own the at least one cd from each band mentioned. Either way, I think it's a good idea for promotions, it might keep the suicidal fans that hang onto every word occupied playing their favourite band's favourite console instead of shouting at the authority figures to 'SHUT UP WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU!'

if Limp Mizkit promote PS2, The XBOX and Linkin Park will shut down!!
