- I would have to go with amazons release dates, in past experiences play doesnt seem to like to update them

- I can't believe it won't be more than $50, if so that's sweet. Oh wait, I forgot you have to have/buy a freak'n expensive video card just to play it like it should be played. Oh well, that's the cost of advancement. I have to give them kudos for keeping the price down on it.

- no you wont need a gr8 gfx card to play it, and march i dont think so, and by the time they realise it, they will have diff txt details etc so you will fine *sigh* everyone is making things up over the alpha as if they play that crap on their gf2 they will go buy a gf4 but probs no need

- Yeah...JC once said that our GF2/R7500 users can play Doom3 @ 320x240.

Anyways, Doom III is listed over on Amazon.com. Go have a look by clicking on the link below. Apparently it's going to go for $49.99 US and (according to Amazon) will come out on March 31st, 2003.
I'd really hate to sound pessimistic but even if that is the official release date, is anyone thinking "delayed"? ;)
