The Gamers' Choice Awards is GameSpy's chance for fans to pick their game of the year for 2002 in selected categories. You may notice that a few categories are conspicuously absent, such as Adventure, Simulation and Expansion Packs. While there were indeed several games in each, GameSpy felt none of them stood out enough to offer their awards in these categories. The Game of the Year selection will begin on Dec. 16 and go through Dec. 28. Voting ends at noon PST on Monday, Dec. 23, and the Gamers' Choice Award winners will be announced on Dec. 26.
